About City Stars Kindergarten
City Stars Kindergarten is a rich and creative environment where children have the time and space to play, learn, grow together and thrive. City Stars Kindergarten is located on the campus of Caloundra City Private School, in Pelican Waters. It is the only integrated school-based Kindergarten program, which means your child has access to all school facilities. At City Stars we believe that every child is a unique individual. Thus our learning environment is inclusive, accessible and caters for diversity.
In 2018 City Stars Kindergarten has received an ‘Exceeding National Quality Standard’(NQS) rating by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). The NQS is a key aspect of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and sets a high, national benchmark for Early Childhood Education and Care and Outside School Hours Care services in Australia. It is a whole team effort to achieve these results and we are very happy to have a highly qualified and dedicated team working across all three of our services.
City Stars Kindergarten offers a five full days a week program or five full days per fortnight program, term time only and our fees are comparable to Child Care Centres. Our day begins at 8:15am and finishes at 3:00pm, but for those families requiring longer care options City Star students can attend our Before School Care, After School Care and in school holiday periods our Vacation Care program.
City Stars Kindergarten has highly experienced teaching staff. Their aim is to support children and encourage them to develop dispositions to support their learning, such as emotional resilience, social confidence, self motivation, persistence and resourcefulness which allows for independent choices and individual development. We value strong parent partnerships and pride ourselves on keeping parents informed about their child’s development. We use digital Learning Stories and Learning Statements so parents have real time access to their child’s play, progress and development.
